Welcome to Jokkmokk!

Here, a few kilometers north of the Arctic Cicle, people gather during the first week of February every year for the Jokkmokk Winter Market - a tradition that dates back more than 400 years.

"Jokkmokk: Live!" is a blog where you can experience the winter market in Jokkmokk, even if you are not attending the market this year. Here you can find photos, videos, articles, soundclips as well as archives from the past three winter markets. I hope that this blog will show you the multitude of experience that the market offers, and that you will end up planning a trip to Jokkmokk to experience it by yourself some day!

The theme for the 2016 winter market is "Midwinter at the Arctic Circle".
